Here we are, finally in Puerto Princesa, Philippines. After leaving the heavy rain in Manila, we arrived to fine, warm (of course) weather. I was feeling very sick on the plane due to lack of sleep, headache, having a madman of a driver getting us from the hotel to the airport, and then turbulance on the flight. Thankfully as soon as my feet were on firm ground again I was feeling back to normal (and out with my camera).

After getting met at the airport we dropped our bags off at the hotel, grabbed some gifts out of the suitcase for the orphanage, & Debbie (Ophanage Director) took us to the orphanage. 
Our beautiful little Brandi. She got to take a blanket with her, that an American lady had made for each of the children. Brandi's has Winnie the Pooh on it. At this stage she still wasnt quite sure of what was happening ...

The outside play area at the orphanage. Although there are a lot of grounds, I don't know how often the children go outside to play. I'm guessing they'll just stick to the little area directly in front of the orphanage building, and only when the caregivers are out there with them.
This is the church pastored by Sonny & Debbie. The building fits several hundred people in it. It has a steel frame, all constructed only by labourers and with no help from cranes. Apparently it took about 50 men to get some of the steel frames up.
Sonny & Debbie Dix with little Brandi. Sonny & Debbie are lovely. They are originally from America - but have been in Palawan for 11+ years now, are easy to talk to & have a great sense of humour.
