Cool little Brandi with Daddy's shades
Aahhh, the wonderful trikes ... if you want to get anywhere in Puerto Princesa, then trikes is the method of transport. They are everywhere - and its amazing how many people they can fit in one! Thankfully there was only the driver, Jared, Brandi, me, our backpack & camera bag to fit in ours. I think if we'd had Courtney, Josh & Renee with us then they would have been expected to fit in the same one with us - where I don't know, but I'm sure the driver would have found a way!! We caught a trike to a restaurant one night & on the way home in the dark the driver would free-wheel the bike, which then caused the bikes head light to go out - so you could say we were left a little in the dark!! Thankfully as soon as he gave the bike some throttle again then the light went back on. This picture was taken outside the only mall in the city which consisted of a small food court, a supermarket & a department store upstairs.

Here is one of the children we saw swimming out in the bay ...

The markets in Puerto Princesa
One of the many jeepneys. There weren't many in Puerto Princesa, but in Manila they seemed to be everywhere.
One of the shops down at the markets. Everyone seemed to enjoy getting their photo taken.
When we got back to the hotel, after a very busy & hot afternoon in downtown Puerto, Brandi finally started feeling a home with us. She started talking and we finally got to see her beautiful smile for the first time. Soon she was laughing & we quickly saw her cheeky side coming out. Here she is with her beautiful smile...
